Pub and attached restaurant at the Quality Inn, Pat Bay Highway and Mt Newton Cross Road, on the way between Victoria and the ferry.
This place had been mentioned to me by a few people and I always noticed it during my comings and goings to Swartz Bay. FYI - it's located about 2-3 kms south of Sydney and the airport on the right side heading north..
The place is very spacious and feels kind of empty whereas I took a peek in the pub and it looked a bit more inviting. As the previous reviewer noted - it's a dark restaurant but the low prioces on the food and acceptable service temper that somewhat. There is no view to look at and a reasonable range of value priced foods including a very very cheap fish and chip special on Friday.
It lacks charm but seems popular with the local senior cistiozens who can always sniff out a bargain.
I have only tried the Halibut and Chips and it is lovely. The fish and chips is the Friday special with one piece at $&.95 and 2 pieces at $8.95 !.
I think the regular price is $2 higher.
Halibut is very good. Batter just right. Chips are also more flavouful then usual.
Comfortable seating but the dining room is a little dark and the service varies. The pub is brighter, more comfortable, and serves the same food. But is noisy !
Certainly, a best buy on a Friday !
