Serious Coffee started in Duncan, BC in 1994 and through several changes and a couple of moves over the years, our company has returned to Duncan where it once again calls home. The original roasting store was in Duncan and the first expansion outlet was in the Town & Country Mall in Victoria. We have now grown to include locations all over Vancouver Island, from Campbell River to Sooke and Sidney. Currently we have 23 locations open; in early 2009, Parksville will have its first Serious Coffee with more in the planning stages.
After some afternoon tea, I stopped by Serious Coffee in Oak Bay to use their free wifi and to reload on caffeine. I don't know how new this franchise is, but all their shops seem fairly new. And is it just in Victoria?!? Because we could sure use Serious Coffee in VanCity.
Has all the great perks of a local business: great product, wholesome and appreciative service and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately I didn't get to sample any food items (went just after brunch), but the iced mocha I got was delicious. Perfectly made!
I also really love that not only do they provide free wifi access, they actually also supply a desktop computer for customer use for free!
