We went on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't very busy. There were 3 other tables. The service was awesome. They were always attending to our table, changing our grill, gave us refills on our side dishes and we very polite. The BBQ was so tasty. Very tender meats and full of flavor. It's a true Korean restaurant. We received 5 side dishes, 2 types of meat, korean pancake and yam noodles all over $30. Such a great deal for so much food. The food is very fresh and crunchy. I really enjoyed this place and I would recommend it to everyone!
Seoul Restaurant offers a true Korean BBQ experience at a very reasonable price. Their marinated beef, pork and chicken are tender and flavorful every time we visit. The servers refill all side dishes (no charge), which include some of the best kimchi, pickled radish and bean sprouts (to name a few) that I have tasted. We were a party of six this evening and ordered four servings of their marinated meat (14.95 each) and we were are satisfied not only with the quality, but also the quantity, to the point where we felt voluntarily overfed.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a true Korean culinary experience. Try their non-BBQ dishes as well. I've had the Dol Sat Bi Bim Bap so far and am shocked I'm not back in Korea!
Coming over from the mainland on a spur of the moment decision, my partner and I were nicely surprised to find this restaurant open on Christmas Eve. It was nearly full and the wait staff remarkably cheerful considering it was Christmas Eve.
We've enjoyed Korean BBQ in Vancouver when we could, so this was a treat to find one open there in Victoria. The bottom line is, the food was a tad better than the ones in the mainland and the cost a few dollars more than the one near our place in Burnaby. I thought the overall prices in Victoria were a tad pricier than Vancouver. (could be we didn't know the area)
That night, we had a really good dining experience.
Decided to give this place a try after their recent expansion and renovations to an adjoining space beside their existing restaurant. Big mistake on my part and the 3 others in my party. The Korean BBQ here is simply, flat-out, not worth it. They are trying to pay for their expansion by charging inflated prices for food that is sorely lacking in quality and quantity.
For example, we ordered 4 Korean BBQ menu items, including pork belly, BBQ ribs, steak, and spicy pork. The pork belly was an absolute joke. For $19.95, we got a plate of what looked to be a package of Maple Leaf Brand back bacon you could buy at your local grocer for $4. The ribs were lacking in quantity, and overpriced at $24.95. Likewise for the steak at $29.95 and spicy pork at $19.95. These are all prices you'd expect to pay to get a lot of food and have plenty of leftovers to take home. Not the case here. Even with ordering other appetizers and dishes totaling about another $60, our group of 4 wasn't even close to being full. For a bill that came to $200 ($50 per person), this was the biggest rip-off I've ever encountered. I'm never going back. There are better places to spend your money.
I love coming here for Korean BBQ, especially since there is a new section in the restaurant dedicated to BBQ now! The food here is authentic and tastes awesome and the prices are fair. I am never disappointed with what I order.
The servers are always friendly and helpful. I freaking love this place!
