Prime is a steak house located in the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Victoria.
We felt like steak so I took my wife out to Prime for dinner.
After a look at the menu we decided on the porterhouse to share as it was advertised as 24oz.
What came was a t-bone and 16oz at best. We also ordered it medium rare and it came rare.
She ordered the double baked potato and it was bland and dry.
The waitress was nice but certainly not the price. When you pay $48.00 for a porterhouse one expects a porterhouse.
I think I will stick to seafood in Victoria and save the steaks for Alberta.
Have been here a few times in the past year, the steaks have always been great as well as the appetizers. The ambience in here is really nice, and the service has been good every time. They have a variety of items on the menu but I seem to always go with the steak, and seafood as an appy, have not been disappointed and they have a great selection of wine.
