My friend and I went to check out this place when it first opened. We had seen a write up in the paper and it seemed pretty cool. I like sports bars. Walking in, the place was fairly empty. We were seated on the lower level of the restaurant. There was one other couple there. Our server was very friendly, and took our drink orders (each had a pepsi). The atmosphere is really neat, kind of different and unique. I noticed that the prices were on the high side of average. I ordered yam fries to start, which were good quality. For dinner I ordered pasta primavera and my friend ordered a chicken burger with caesar salad. The pasta was ok...the veggies were fresh and crispy, the sauce was sort of bland (seemed like just olive oil). It didn't come with any sort of bread, so the price seemed a bit excessive for the portion. My friend said her burger was just ok...bland and not very exciting. Also, the pop is not refillable! We paid $3 each for one glass of pop! When we mentioned this to the server, she apologized, but they should really let people know that! Overall, I wasn't really happy with the value. I most certainly won't rush to go back to Platinum.

Mediocre service, average food, but unbelievable ambiance. This place need a little reworking, especially with actually training the staff!!! This place needs a bit of a rework if it wants to avoid the same fates of Hunters and SYN. At least SYN had great drink prices.
