Offers 66 gelato flavours to choose from. Don't forget the candy, saltwater taffy, pure maple syrup products, cookies, Italian sodas, gifts and souvenirs to take home with you.
This gelato place was actually next door to the deli we just left, so it was time for dessert. Incredible sight for the sweet tooth, from the saltwater taffy candy to the selections of pure maple syrup and smoked salmon.
The window display showcases the colourful gelato selections, but it was the cheesecake on a stick that caught my attention. At $7 per, it really dents the wallet, but I felt like novelty food. My friend and my gf shared a couple of gelato flavours, scoops of tiramisu and cookies'n'cream. The cheesecake stick had it's charm, dense New York style that was both delicious yet guilty, I was about to keel over had my gf not finished the remaining bits. The gelato (notably the tiramisu) was the biggest surprise, probably the best I've had in BC. Velvety smooth and complete with espresso powder, it was a loud shout of flavour reincarnated into cool dairy form. 2 small scoops for $7 is not cheap at all, but I suppose this time quality quantifies price.
Friendly, competent young staff, combined with their natural immaturity works well in a casual atmosphere.
An absolute sidetrack next time I'm here.
