A little dining gem in Oak Bay

My friends and family have joined me several times for lunch at this special little dining gem in Oak Bay and we have all hugely enjoyed the total experience. This cafe bistro is one of Victoria's best kept secrets: the food is consistently fresh, delicious, a little bit exotic (yes!), with good sized portions and excellent prices, married with happy servers and attentive service, and a mellow ambiance which completes this fulfilling dining experience. Dinner plans await my family and friends next, and I just know this will also be a Highly Recommended experience. Thank you Nar.

With a family-run restaurant overlooking Windsor park, having dinner on the second floor is quite a treat. For that special occasion, it is definitely worth it to check out Nar Cafe Bistro. I liked how the menu changes give old customers variety and reasons to come back.

Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly and kind service. If you like to take a break from your busy lifestyle, I recommend coming here for dinner. A wonderful experience that is nicely tucked away in Oak Bay.

A first glance through the front window of this restaurant will only show you a small front room with three or four tables. The first time my wife and I visited we sat there and wondered how a restaurant could survive on this, apparently just after the restaurant had been taken over by a young couple from Turkey. We had no trouble choosing a lovely meal from a somewhat limitrd fixed price menu. The service was very friendly and efficient.
When six of us wanted to return recently we decided to make a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be shown upstairs to a larger room with tables nicely spread out. Again a very nicely prepared meal for everyone. The menu had changed, with an emphasis on lamb dishes, but good variety. I think the total bill was about $260 including two bottles of wine. Fortunately we were in walking distance of home!
Highly recommended.
