This place is great! You get a variety of choices of meat and fillings wrapped up in a freshly made naan bread. You pick the level of spice and you pick the veggies and other fillings they add subway style so it really is made how YOU want it! It just tastes fresh and reasonably healthy! Price pretty good too. $10 gets you a large naanwich, pop and a side and it really fills you up! Service is really quick too!
Alot of people i know have highly recommended this place so naturally i had to see what all the buzz was about. However, I was VERY dissapointed. It was nothing how everyone had made it out to be, and to top it off it didn't taste good in the least bit - i couldn't even finish it. I dont know if it was just the one time i went there that it was off, but if what i had is what everyone has raved about i dont know what all the buzz is about. I would not go back.
Naanwich is a place that I frequently visited in the summer while working in the area. Though its a little over-priced, the quality of food is actually surprisingly decent for a sub-sandwich alternative.
If you're looking for a quick bite, Naanwich is definitely worth checking out. I've had the butter chicken Naanwich a number of times, and recently tried the lamb and ginger - both were pretty good.
My only complaint is the portions are not very big - so make sure you ask for most of the veggies on your naanwich, otherwise you'll be a little hungry afterwards
I eat my meals out a lot because I'm a really bad cook. As a vegetarian, this is particularly difficult since ther earen't a lot of fast food options for me. I am also not in favor of big chains or foods with preservatives or attitives. When I moved to Victoria I was REALLy disappointed that there was such a small variety of restaurants - barely any places with real chefs developing menus, fresh ingredients, vegetarian options, etc. We also have very little in the way of Indian food (which is my favorite). Last week I tried my first naanwhich and now I am in heavenly love. I've been back FOUR times in the last week and even drove out of my way to get there last night because I'm so thoroughly addicted it isn't funny. Their sauces are amazing and so are the ingredients. The naan is so fresh it melts in your mouth. The ingredients are prepared as spicy as *you* like so I was able to choose a spicy meal instead of a watered-down-for-north-american meal like every other restauarant in this city. I'm so happy I found this place. It's excellent value and I'll never do fast food anywhere else ever again in my life if there is a naanwhich I can get instead.
