My husband & I have been dining at the Med for over 10 years night and I can honestly say that every meal has been absolutely wonderful. The selection of entrées is great and coupled with the incredible value and service — it is a 'can't miss' dining experience. The restaurant is open concept and it's great. There is a real energy and vibrancy to the Med. Don't just take my word for it — give it a try yourself...
Been here many times. Good solid service and food on par with Earl's or Cactus Club. Interoir of Royal Oak location is in need of a make over and parking can be difficult during peak times. Nice menu selection however they never seem to vary it. Fort St. location does not have high chairs or booster seats for children
I am really surprised that I seem to be the first to submit a review for this restaurant. It is packed every time we go there. They have a fixed price menu that they call their "Tuscan menu" which is $17.99 during the week and $19.99 on I think Friday and Saturday. For this you get a four course meal with a choice of starter and entre; the courses apart from the main are a little small but we have never left feeling hungry and my wife and I can strongly recommend anything on this fixed price menu.
They also have an extensive a la carte menu with a wine list that you will not need a bank loan to select from. They also have a reasonably priced house wine that we usually have.
The only drawback that I have experienced is the noise level! This place is so popular that I find it very noisy. It is open plan and there is no sound deadening in any part of the decor.
We have also been for lunch in the summer and there is a nice elevated deck that we have seen but not been able to use - too busy!
Staff are great.
Been here twice for dinner before my birthday celeb w/ kids. Once with an Irish fella and another with my best friend blonde blue-eyed french canadian. (I'm oriental). Both times were impressively delicious.
What happened on my birthday Oct 29th when I took my 3 tween-agers for dinner??? I ordered fettucine w/ grilled chicken and the kids ordered pizza w/ sausage. I received my fettucine but NO chicken. I confirmed my order w/ the waiter and both he and I dissected my plate looking for the chicken - not a shadow of any piece of chicken. He took the plate back to the kitchen to ask the cook. He came back and told me "he said it's in there!" Kids said not to spoil my birthday and not to make a scene. Fine. Now about their pizza. It was on a flat thin crust w/ hardly any cheese and some sausage. That was it. I haven't been back since (1 1/2 yrs). Best I could do was not leave any tip.
