My Sandwich was really good

Just read the Lully's review below and because I was just there today I have to show my support. I enjoyed a Veggie Sandwich for lunch today and was really impressed.
The sandwich included some spicy mayo that was really good and kicked the sandwich up a notch or two. It was very tasty and I will be back for another one.
The Sandwich Bar is in a very small space and at noon hour was fairly busy. Full of downtown folk who wouldn't crack a smile at a stranger if their lives depended on it. Why such unfriendliness in this town? Anyway, that's for another website.
I struck up a conversation with the owner of the store and he told me about these great pickles they have and offered me a sample. I guess you get what you give.
My sandwich was under seven bucks and a much healthier choice by far than smoked meat. Lip smacking good and I will be back for another.

Overpriced

With the amount of restaurants in this area with amazing value, a $9 tiny sandwich just doesn't cut it. Two small slices of rye bread, a thin layer of mustard and warm meat that was nothing special.
So many better places to spend money and leave full and satisfied. Maybe there are people willing to pay this price for this "specialty" meat, but overall this was a disappointment for me and I won't go back.

The Roast Beef sandwich was Probably the best I've ever had. I went to this busy little hole in the wall at lunch time.It was extremely busy, so I was a little worried that I might be late getting back to work, but I got my food reasonably fast. I think I just found a new lunch place. Im geussing the rest of the sandwiches are just as good by how busy they are.

Lully's is Great

I lived in Monteal, and ate at Swartz's aswell and although not identical, which would be wierd, the smoked meat sandwich was great and i would say authentic. I crave that sandwich at least once a week and would highly recommend LULLY's to anyone looking for a great sandwich!!!! Though the space is small it is also a take out spot so its difficult to rate the atmosphere except to say that the fellow who i think is the owner is a great host and really seems to enjoy what he is doing.

Not Real Montreal Smoked Meat
By renoir of Victoria (11 Reviews)
Submitted Tuesday, October 27, 2009 - 7:01pm [Dine in]

My husband and I, both Montreal natives, went to Lully's based on a newspaper review that said they served Montreal smoked meat sandwiches made with with real smoked meat from Schwartz's, the most famous smoke meat restaurant in Montreal and a place we know very well. The 9$ smoke meat sandwich we were served, well not actually served, as it was handed to us in a foil wrap, was not even close to a Schwartz's smoked meat sandwich, which left us dismayed and disappointed. It didn't look, taste or smell like any Montreal smoked meat sandwich we've ever had. It was just an average sandwich on the small side that didn't taste like anything particularly special and came with absolutely nothing; no fries, chips, cold slaw, or garnish. You don't even get a plate or glass of water. When I asked for water, I had to pay for bottled. It is really over priced at 9$ and to add insult to injury, there is a sign reminding you to tip generously! For what I don't know as there was not even a waiter/waitress.
