The Loghouse Pub is set in a beautiful log building built about 20 years ago. The pub is located just east of Home Depot and the other big boxes of east Langford.
In my opinion this is one great pub. Their food is not fancy but absolutely delicious. Just the other day I dropped by with friends for an early dinner and enjoyed their Monday Special a Pulled Pork Sandwich with coleslaw and fries for 8 bucks.
The sandwich was very tasty, a large pulled pork sandwich with lots of sauce and an absolute huge helping of their own french fries. These fries are truly some of the best I have ever had, made right on the premises and unlike many establishments they aren't afraid to give you a whole lot.
The service was outstanding. I ordered a diet pepsi with my meal and before I could even ask for a refill the very friendly server was there with another glass without me even asking for it. When was the last time you experienced something like that at a restaurant, believe me it is very rare a server actually anticipating your needs.
I have enjoyed other items at the Loghouse Pub like their bacon , tomato and lettuce sandwich along with a very generous side salad with a great mango dressing. They also make huge burgers.
These guys are out to satisfy their customers in every way and for me they get at least four stars.
We've been meaning to try this one for a while as the building is very attractive on the corner of Millstream and Treanor near Home Depot. Going inside we found a large room with 2 patios (proudly proclaimed as the first non-smoking ones!). The menu had a good range of pub foods with a minor twist. Service was reasonably quick and attentive and I tried the house brew. It was good. The food came in a reasonable time and was everything it promised to be. Prices were a wee bit higher bthan some pubs but then I have been accused of being cheap.
The pub is aimed at a younger crowd with TVs everywhere so you need not miss a second of sports. The waitresses must be hired for their good looks as they are hot...just so you know! All in all, a very enjoyable meal was had and the beer was good too. I'd recommend it.
Now as a rule I hate pubs and bars as I am more of a non drinker just having the occasional beer now and then, and there has to be good food to go with it so I tend to shy away from such places as a rule. However…! Both myself and the young lady I was with enjoy ourselves and made 3 more visits back there while on the island. The pub seems to be geared more towards the under 30 crowd, as was clearly evident on our first visit which almost became our first and last visit there! There was a table of young people ( under 25 ) drunk as a skunk and becoming most obnoxious throwing ice cubes around and going around trying to drop ice cubes down into your shirt. It got powerfully close to both myself and the young lady I was with to getting up and walking out without paying the bill, as this went on for some time before one of the staff stepped in and put a end, or at least tried to put a end to it with some very limited success. Maybe this is one of the biggest reasons why I shy away from such places. However on the positive side I can say I very much liked the way how they had a place right by the door for bikes. Food was good all around as was the atmosphere, and on our last night they had some music bingo deal going on that I have to say this made that night most enjoyable and fun as well. Only complaint is, what is this deal with the kitchen being closed by 9PM or so. What’s with this….? This was one of the biggest reasons why we did not make more visits back there after 9pm.

Went to the Loghouse saturday night and the first impressions were pretty mixed. Decent pub atmosphere, pretty loud and fun but top 40 blaring on the speakers really doesn't fit "pub" in my opinion.
Service was pretty good, no complaints there. The waitress was managing quite a few tables efficiently.
The food was excellent pub grub and I didn't feel it was overpriced at all.
My biggest disappointment was sitting down and looking at what was on tap beer wise. There was only 2 local beers and that is a shame with all the local breweries around the Victoria area.
