Unlike the reviewer before me, I am struggling to find anything positive to say about this place. I have been researching coffee places to find one that is suitable for a group of moms with infants to meet up. After reading the one review on here and visiting Koffi's website I decided to check it out for myself. The website boasted a kid's area with a chalkboard, but little did I know, that's all there was in this so called "kid's area." But that was little disappointment in comparison to the extremly burnt taste to their espresso that no amount of steamed milk and vanilla syrup could even mask. Not to mention the total lack of cleanliness in the sitting area. I guess this place would be okay if you took your coffee to go and didn't ever look down, as there was old coffee on the lower walls, dirt and crud along the bottoms of the chairs and table bases, and random stuff piled visibly towards the back of the place. Having worked myself for several years in the restaurant business there is a universal moto, 'If there's time to lean, there's time to clean.' I was there at about 8:30am on a Monday morning and there were maybe two other customers, hardly what I'd call busy, yet the staff did no cleaning out on the floor. Needless to say, I would never consider this place for any reason ever again.
As somebody who lives equidistant to Koffi and another coffee shop, I almost always choose Koffi. There's not much to say about Koffi that isn't positive. The people are friendly, it's in a fantastic neighbourhood location, the food is decent and, of course, the coffee is delicious. Free WIFI and a sunny patio round out a lovely community coffee house.
