Italian Food Imports is a deli and food shop offering a range of imported Italian grocery and deli items along with fresh, made to order sandwiches. They also offer pre made sandwiches if you need something a bit quicker.
Almost every weekend we stop by this italian deli for a meatball sub, panini, or soup. The meatball panino is the best i have had, and the ingredients in all sandwiches are always fresh and tasty. Service is quick, as this place is often lined up, and there is a few small tables with chairs if you want to dine in. The prices are very reasonable for the sandwiches. The soups here are usually amazing, restaurant quality (lobster bisque is heavenly!). There is also a few delcious pre-made salads to choose from, and while you are grabbing lunch you can order some italian deli meat, cheese, or pasta for dinner as well.
I went in there one day as I hear it was good. I waited and waited and waited. WHen it was finally my turn I asked what vegetarian sandwiches they had. The guy said this was a deli. I said I know and and repeated my question. He looked at me like I had 4 heads. He asked me what kind of meat I like- I said none - I wanted a veggie sanwich. He looked and me like I had 5 heads. I left.
This is basically an Italian deli serving sandwiches and a daily pasta. It is a great value and the local love it. You may have to wait in line, and you may have to share a table, but it all seems to work. On sunny day's grab a seat outside and watch the world go by as you enjoy your meal. The sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients, using fresh crusty rolls, focaccia or French bread from local bakeries. Pastas change daily. You can have your order to go.
