I hate it when this site removes reviews for no good reason. I already reviewed this terrible place and it was removed. I wrote nothing that was against the rules.
We went with a large group and had called in advance. The service was terrible, the bills were all wrong. The kid's food was way over prices and under tasty, and burned. Some people waited up to 1.5 hours for a meal while the person next to them had finished and hour before. Some people never got anythign and were still charged. It was an awful dog fight and I woudl NEVER take a group there again. Plus what food did come was nasty. ANd then they added on a 15% "service" charged and didn't tell people so they'd still tip on top of that. Booo.
I walked into this restaurant on a beautiful summer morning. This place reminded me of a refined down Hooters we usually see popping up everywhere in the United States. My girlfriend and I were waiting for a few minutes before a waitress began to take our seats. Every dish that was on the menu was extremely expensive. For example: $15 for a small bowl of noodles.
We both decided to share their apple pie with ice cream (which was about $12). When the order came, we were highly disappointed. The pie seemed to be cut from one of those mini-pies that you buy in the grocery store with one small scoop of ice cream. So anyways, we bit out tongues and waited for the waitress to give us a bill.
Will never go here again, the slow service and extreme prices turn even the most wealthiest person off.
If you've been to one Boston Pizza you've basically experienced all they have to offer in the way of food. So I'll leave it at that, don't go there and expect anything great, not happening.
The blanshard location (if its the one by save-on-foods) offers free wifi and on the pub side they seem to have a decent range of tvs so you can watch the game from any angle. the main dining area is like a huge open warehouse, you can basically see everyone from every seat.
Again, it's Boston Pizza so you know what to expect...
BP used to be consistent and good quality food back in the nineties. Their expansion degraded the quality of their food and service is a joke. I was in the one by save ons and all the servers and cooks were talking to each other like school kids, leaving the customers waiting for service.
When I was there, the cook left the pasta in the water way too long, the steak was frozen when he cooked it and that was the worst food I have ever eaten in a long time. BP needs help ands its sad because their food used to be good but now its the worst of the worst in terms of quality.
15 minute coffee break, went to watch brazil score their first goal of the fifa games... told them I was on coffee break, they were not full.. charged me $2.30 for coffee.. left a bad coffee taste in my mouth, and it's not the greatest coffee had to put 4 creamers in it to make it taste okay...
K I always have the best food when I eat at boston Pizza. Not necissarily the Victoria one... Anyway the ribs are amaaaazing and so is the spaghetti. The pizza is only Ok in my opinion, and even the food I got by accident that I'd never eaten before turned out to be good. Never had the drinks there because I look 14 and never have my id (annoying) but I hear they make great ceasars or whatever. (Ceasars: Personally? Yuck.) Anyway go there if you want great ribs. The service is usually only ok... if they put as much effort into hiring good waitresses as they do in cooking, they'd be set.
Oh except once I ate at the metrotown location and got the chicken and ribs and the chicken was frozen on the inside. o_O Only bad experience.
Boston Pizza offers good value and decent service for a fast-food restaurant. Their Blanshard location is spacious and inviting and the pub section offers a number of tv's and a comfortable setting to watch any sports venue.
We have been to Boston Pizza a number of times through the years and know what to expect. The food is consistantly good and the pizza is much better than Dominoe's (cardboard) or Little Ceaser (more cardboard).
Pasta Tuesday is a real bargin and a healthy alternative.
For a filling lunch or a drink or coffee anytime, Boston Pizza is a decent choice.
This is a restaurant that is coming into it's own. The staff is better than average, warm and friendly and really hustle! They do their best to make your visit a good one! It's a big restaurant with loads of room for large groups and has a great Sports Bar with three big screen TV's. Daily specials, larger than most pizzas (12 slices in a large) Huge selection on the menu, something for everyone! All ages feel welcome. The people there care! Good food, good times and good prices.
I like BP, but they are often a bit slow getting the food to you. Their pizza and stromboli sandwiches are great! I also like the fact they are open late so i WILL be going back. Next time i'll just take a magazine with me while i wait!
