One of Victoria's premier espresso's bars boasting a variety of freshly prepared lunches and baked goods. Live music on Saturdays, a full bar, and great highball specials are making this a popular evening hangout and meeting place.
It's too bad they can't get consistency with their second location (where the coffee seems not as good) - but so long as Hillside remains open with the same folks involved, Victoria will continue to have superior Americanos at it's leisure. Check "Habit", "Cafe Fantisto" and "Street Level Espresso" for equally good coffee (but masters of different drinks - like the "Africano / Boonah"). Artigiano makes the best Macchiato.
This place is really neat. It has a different atmosphere than the other coffee shops in town. The service is always really friendly and fun, the food choices are interesting (try their paninis, although greasy they are really good!) and the seating is very comfortable (good place to study). I haven't tried their highballs but everything else they serve is excellent.
This place is worth a visit just for the baristas and the pretty foam designs in the drinks!!
Friendly service.
It looks small from the outside but when you walk in you will be pleased to find out how large it is. Very comfortable surroundings. Music was varied and not too loud. Free newspapers to read. WiFi available: I saw others laptop users, I cannot personally comment on the speed of the Wifi, but others seemed to be working away.
Food was not bad. Good crossiant. Tasty mochas.
Lot's of cool people to watch.
