Yaletown L’Antipasto follows in the tradition of Mediterranean tapas bars where you can come by anytime of the day and find what you’re looking for. Offering an authentic and varied menu including freshly baked croissants & pastries, home-made soups & paninis, nightly pasta specials and more.
This little gem has been open since about mid-november and since then I have been there many times. The real grabber for me was the head chef/cook who makes each dish with love and authenticity (It doesn't hurt that she's a real italian mamma ^_^) The ambience is a mix all things great: trendy, cozy, romantic, soft music in the background mixing with the bilingual chatter from the patrons and friendly staff. Definitely an experience to savour. My Faves: any of the specialty coffees featuring organic beans, Beef tenderloin carpaccio as a starter and my self-titled "Dessert Triple header" consisting of Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, and Chocolate Mousse.
I work downtown and stopped in here for quick lunch and it was blown away. The food is out of this world delicious and was served quickly but polite staff. The cook loves what she does and it shows. A great atmosphere to just get away from your worries of work, even if it is only for a small period of time. They have daily soup and pasta specials. Can't wait till go here again.
