Wings is more than just a NY style wing place with a wide combination of wings and sauces. We are also a Sports bar, complete with a full menu featuring everything from salads to appetizers to burgers and a variety of pasta dishes. All served in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere where people like to hang out with friends, watch their favorite game on one of the many TVs and munch on some great wings.
We chose Wings on Granville for a fast, easy dinner because we were on our way to the theater. We arrived at about 6pm. A waitress took our order right away and we were surprised to get our wings within about 3 minutes. The wings were OK. We've had better. Our main complaint is the complete lack of service. I asked for bleu cheese for the wings; we never got it. We ordered an appetizer (garlic bread) and they brought it to us 30 minutes AFTER we'd finished our wings. When we finally saw the waitress again, she said that there was a large party in the back of the restaurant. We (stupidly) decided to order dessert, which was a slice of cake. Another 20 minutes went by and no dessert. When the waitress came back to see if we wanted refills on our drinks, we had to remind her about the dessert. After another 15 frstrating minutes, we flagged her down and told her to cancel the dessert. Finally, an hour and a half after arriving for our "quick" dinner, we finally got the bill. We paid it and left a note abot how we were disappointed that ALL 5 SERVERS were taking care of the "large" party in the back of the resturant and that hopefully they will leave a large tip to cover the fact that we were leaving none.
Sorry, but the service here was terrible. When there's a "large party" in your restaurant, you cannot ignore the other 10 people who are already dining there. It's also not cool to have 5+ servers PLUS the manager standing around doing nothing. That's not cool at all. I'd avoid this place if you can.
