Vietnamese fast food at the Pacific Centre food court.
The beef noodles soup was mediocre at best. The service was just bad - even by foodcourt standard. Normally, when you place an order at a foodcourt counter, there is some kind of acknowledgement, at least a nod. Here, there is no response at all from the other end. It was like talking to a wall, and you come back in a few minutes to find out if someone did actually hear what you ordered. After trying this place two times, I think I am done with this kind of suspense.
Mall shopping can take a lot out of a person..well not really, but it does wonders on working up an appetite. The renovated PC food court offers variety and as usual, nothing stood out, but the Vietnamese booth cried afoul, and there I came.
I ordered the exact same combination platter as a previous trip at another location, a messy mish mosh of a chicken brochette, a spring roll, a few roll dips, a small salad with dressing and vermicelli and yet again, a disappointing show. The brochette was dry and bland, as was the dips, heck even the few sprigs of lettuce in the salad couldn't be bothered to be made decently. Luckily the spring roll saved the meal, but it was only of passing grade.
The food court ran through the afternoon rush and was busy, though few came by the booth as I sat and ate my meal. The lighting here makes for a somewhat gloomy dining experience.
Vina and Vietnamese cuisine do not mix well. If this food court flop serve as a representation of what to expect at their restaurant locations, I would be very leery of stepping in. One good thing, these "express" locations allow plastic, a rare find.
Let's not support this Vina Vietnamese.
Service was HORRIBLE. It's definetely not worth the money and your time to try this place out. The food is not notable and the service is just bad. POOR customer service.
They made me so angry. Even the friendliness and enthusiasm that I displayed to them did not get reciprocated.
I even made sure I noted this place on my cellphone so that I could write a review on this.
So if you want a good food and service experience, just don't choose this place.
