It's food court Vietnamese; don't expect much

I work right near Tinseltown/International Village, so I've been slowly trying the different places there. Some are quite good. Vana...doesn't seem to be.

The service was standoffish, like she was annoyed I was even there; the food was bland (and it seems hard to make Vietnamese bland, but there you go; it seems to entirely rely on adding "spicy sauce" afterwards); and, as mentioned, it's a food court, so they really have no control over the atmosphere. The prices are somewhat low, which is nice.

Great food at low prices!

I highly recommend this Vana. The food is very flavourful and authentic. I usually have the pho or beef noodle soup - the soup base tastes authentic and savory, not at all bland. I've been to many pho places and this soup is one of the best. Also love their spring roll/brochette combinations. Again, very flavourful. Just the right spices. The salad roll is also very good and their peanut sauce is excellent!

A bonus is that the food is quite healthy and not deep fried. I go to lunch there about 3 times a week and just love it.

The ambience is only so so since it's in a food court but I guess that's why the prices are low. And lastly, the service is great. The staff are very friendly and fast in serving you.
