I have been here to this little "hole-in-the-wall"restaurant several times over this past year and find that the food is good each time. The prices are really decent and the staff at the front are extremely courteous and pleasant to deal with.
Yesterday I had a special Vegetarian combo, for $6.99. It included 8 large pieces of Agedashi Tofu which was wonderful; crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside (and I am extremely picky when I get this dish). The special also came with a kappa roll, an asparagus roll and of course the usual miso soup. All of the food was tasty and for the good service and the price I rate this restaurant as outstanding. I will definitely be back when I am in the Davie and Thurlow area.
Towa Young is a little hole in the wall place just off of Davie on Thurlow Street. They have managed to fit in a few small tables, but I have never actually eaten there, it feels a bit claustrophobic to me. However, their sushi is wonderful. In fact, everything we have ordered from there is wonderful and their prices are very reasonable. When you live just off Davie Street, there are many many places where you can pick up sushi, but this is the one I always choose if I'm getting take-out.
