I was at this place for one of my friends birthday, use to be the old point zero, now aka tokyo rose kitchen and lounge. first thing i noticed was the wall painting beside the door " street scene" on the right and a really nice looking mural on the left, with the flashing light at the entrance i felt like i wasn't on granville street anymore.
The seat setting was more spacious and open compare to the last time i was here, not as crowded i felt. Food was pretty good for the price, and on granville, their volcano roll and captain crunch is a must try!! Also the Yakiudons! best in town i'd say! the other stuff we usually order are their robata skewers, the staff was pretty friendly, and cute looking as well ( maybe not the male), they were talking about a upcoming new menu in october which i am really looking forward to. the music and ambience was great! we always go there for their drink specials 3 shots for 13? you cant beat their price on granville street. My other group of frds are their regulars, because they are right across from Barcelona and Joseph Richards, close to Celebs...so i guess most ppl eat and have a little pre drink there before the clubs to save some$$ on liquor??. other downside, one or two of the staff lacks knowledge in the food, but it was not a big deal since we had it before..kitchen is sometimes a bit slow on weekends.......but over all this is so far my favourite place to chill with friends for drinks and SUSHI!
