It's located in the middle of the mall (not even the food court) so what do you expect? The food is okay, but the wait is soooo miserable! I waited 1/2 hr for ONE california roll. I will never return!!!
I am a frequent customer at this recently renovated Japanese takeout place in Oakridge. Sushi quality and service is good. It's too bad that they recently raise the price. I might only come back if I am around the area. If you want the best bang for the buck with good sushi, you may want to look elsewhere.
Yes, recently renovated.. Finally! I work in the mall and really there is no other good place to eat. I waited over a month for them to re-open and now I go there at least twice a day.
(Food:) Their food has been always fresh and good. I love their new bento box. They have salmon teriyaki, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki and BBQ rib. I usually get the BBQ rib box and share em with my co worker. It somes with rice, salad, gyoza, california roll, and miso soup. You get a lot for what you pay.
(Service) The girls are very nice and friendly... too bad they don't serve.
(Value:) Their California roll is $3.25! I've been to many other japanese restaurant and I still go out every weekend. and so far this place is the cheapest. lol I guess this is because they're take out place.
Though it taste alright, the sushi weren't firm; rice and various things were falling off. Mainly because the sizes were disproportional, some were extra extra huge, some were normal, yet some were thin. Also I found the sushi to be somewhat expensive (maybe it was because order the cheaper things). But yeah, that didn't trouble, what did was, the sushi just didn't look exactly like the picture on the menu. LOL Is it suppose to? It's ten times much smaller and it definitely not one-dimensional. :P
If you want the spectacular sushi, you may want to look elsewhere. :P
One of my favourite sushi places to drop by and grab some sushi when I'm on the go. It's reasonably priced and very fresh, plus the rice is never gross and dry. I always get the nigiri combo with some miso soup. Delicious! I also never wait too long... max 5 minutes or so, but then again, I'm never there at lunch time.
nothing really special. its just a small take out place..
a few tables and a sushi bar. pretty clean and has great food.
they have some nice party platters too.
i live in the area so i come here at least once every week.
and everytime i come here, i find their food VERY FRESH.
i love their salmon and tuna sashimi=)
the portions are great and relatively cheap.
but since its a take out place, the service isnt great.
infact, i should say its more like a selfserve..
better to avoid lunch hour. very very busy!
during those hour, usually theres a long line up.
