To Dine For Eatery features North American comfort foods with a Korean influence. Vegan and vegetarian options available.
We went here for lunch today ... read the reviews on this a couple of years ago and have been dying to try this place!!! Wish I didn't go.
The food was good but overly priced!!! Two mushroom burgers with cheese shouldn't be $30!!! The french fries were good. The place was very clean ... the bathrooms were immaculate ... service good but because of the pricing ... definitely not going back.
The bunless option of most joints usually suck - the lettuce is too stiff, there's too much it, it falls apart. But I finally I had a great lettuce wrapped kimchi burger that I finished even tho I was stuffed...becuase it was that good! I also kept dipping into my friend's poutine - despite trying to keep healthy with salad - becuase it was that good!
Me and my friend stopped by here completely on a whim after some flea marketing and we were delightfully surprised! We couldn't get over the awesome decor - bright orange diner-style seating - and the food was to die for! I opted for the poutine burger, which is exactly what it sounds like, and completely delicious. I love that they specified where the meat was from, and you could totally tell how fresh the ground beef was - so flavourful and juicy! Soo gooood! My friend's burger had "bacon jam" on it, which was like this delicious bacon puree? Really friggin delicious. Seriously.
Burgers come with either a salad or fries, and I opted for the salad while my friend got the fries. I loved that the salad was actually a realistic serving size - so often when you get the side salad it's tiny and like, "is that even a serving of vegetables?" and it's all iceberg lettuce which just seems pointless. this salad was mixed greens - i think there was even a bit of arugula in there - yum! - and it was just like, this is actually food! i feel healthy and it's delicious!
i had a few of my friend's fries as well and they were great - super crunchy!
The service was really quick, and the waitress was super super nice - she even gave us a free sample of their bruleed grapefruit - SO GOOD! perfect dessert! basically it was very simple, just a baked grapefruit with caramelized sugar on top, but what a great idea! and a perfect closer to a meal - very light, but satisfies your sweet tooth.
The prices were really reasonable too, the burgers run about 9-13 bucks, but there were lots of lower priced items on the menu. Plus, one thing that's super awesome, they had quite a few items on the menu that had the option to be vegan or vegetarian. so awesome! so you can hit this place up with your veg friends and not worry about them not having anything to order - everyone wins!
I would definitely go back again; there were all these interesting korean fusion dishes that sounded really intriguing. going to tell all my friends about it for sure! this place deserves to be famous, seriously.
When they say they serve good comfort food they are not kidding. BJ Burger with bacon jam, sriracha mayo and fries is one of my favorites but their grilled mac & cheese and poutine is to die for.
Staff is incredibly friendly and service is very quick. Comfortable and fun atmosphere.
Highly recommend eating here if you are in the mood for a quick, amazingly tasty and reasonably priced meal.
