Vietnamese Coffee and Sandwiches
Just popped in here to have a quick bite to eat. This placed can be considered a little cafe rather than a restaurant. Decent menu for light snacks.
The Vietnamese were generous and cheap, they tasted very good too. I had a Vietnamese Iced Coffee which was brilliant here.
The ambiance was really non-existant. It was quite a poor maintained cafe, hadn't been decorated in a while, was a little dirty and had boxes of stuff in the main restaurant area. With a little bit of effort this could be improved.
Service was good but I didn't expect any given the size of the place.
Thy is a small mom & pop Vietnamese diner. They have the best Pho I've ever had in Vancouver. Good noodles, quality meat, excellent broth and generous portions ($7 for a large). There is very little MSG in their broth. At most Pho joints I can feel the MSG on my tongue all day - not so at Thy. The sandwiches are decent too, but the Pho is the main attraction.
The ambience is actually pretty good with interesting music and decorations on the walls. Deducted points because it's not the cleanest place. The bathroom is abysmal.
