Great Thai food

I have been here a few times and have always left happy and full. The food is great and cooked fresh. I love coming here on a sunny day and sitting on bar seating out front that overlooks the street and enjoying the sights and sounds as i eat a big plate of pad thai noodles.

The currys are great too very flavourful and full of the coconut flavour thai curries are known for. Always friendly service adds to a great place.

First time for Thai food

Having never had Thai food before I wasn't sure what to expect so I decided to try this place I always walk by on Davie Street. My buddy goes there all the time so we some dinner there. I have to admit it was pretty good. We both had the Pad Thai Noodles which was a huge potion of noodles with shrimp. I wouldn't say it was fantastic but it was a nice change to the everyday Asian fair. The price and quantity were outstanding. I would return to try something else.

Decent food for price

Ordered a pad thai take-out a few days ago. The order was ready by the time we got there. The dish came out to be about $10 plus tax. The food and portion was decent. The portion is just about as much as takeout from Hon's. The place does not seem to have air conditioning so I wouldn't want to stay there to eat on a hot day.

Always good for take-out

Oh man, Thai Away Home is my favorite place for take-out food. It's fast and so good! Everything is great although sometimes their food isn't consistant - sometimes there's more sauce, less sauce, too sweet, etc. But that's what you pay for because it's usually made "fresh" (or what is considered fresh for fast food.

Great thai 'fast food'

For a quick Thai food fix, this place can't be beat. The prices are reasonable for what you get, and their curries are pretty good. Service is great, and they get the orders out pretty quickly. One of the few places I have found that offer brown rice. I love the coconut red curry with pumpkin.

Look forward to going back for more!

I've just started going to Thai Away Home after a friend introduced me to it. I am simply just amazed at the quality of food at an affordable price that is made as quickly as it is. Both times I've ordered the Cashew Chicken meal and I'm easily stuffed afterwards. The service is great and they do it with a genuine smile. Couldn't ask for more.
