The naan is made to order and baked in a clay oven.
This is mostly a take-out joint, but they do have some room to sit and eat.
This place is famous for its naan. They almost get insulted if you order your curry with rice instead of naan. All of the curries I have tried were also great, with my favorite being the butter chicken. The food is authentic and spicy, none of that watered down crap.
The guys who work there are always pretty friendly, so even though it is not full service I gave them a 3 on service.
I was in Commercial st last week and was craving for indian food and decided to get some butter chicken and naan .in Tandoori palace Awesome food and the portions were huge . Loved the flaky fresh naan. I had ordered delivery after my first visit and again thefood was better than ever . The guys could be a lil abrupt when taking orders and there were communication barrier at some point . The girls were better in customer service , nice and friendly too. Would recommend the restaurant if u are looking for good authentic and affordable indian cuisine
The interior looks unimpressive except for the strong aroma of delicious curry. It looks more like a take-out shop with seating.
The naan was superb. It's light and cooked just right, and is very garlicky. The curries (we all ordered some sort of curry) were pretty ok. Not sure if portions were small or if I was unusually hungry, but I found the portions to be on the small side of average.
The service started out being pretty poor (messed up one of our orders, and it was delayed by some 20 minutes without much compensation) but it picked up later on; the water was self-served but one of the chefs came to poor water for us himself, which we thought was nice and personal!
