I recently stopped in here on a whim with my partner as we were stocking up on Indian spices in the neighbourhood. I was delighted to see that they have a few Indian dishes I hadn't tried yet, including snack foods and various chaats.

I wish I could remember the exact name of what we'd had. It was a chaat with chickpeas that was incredibly flavourful. The chutney (tamarind maybe?) was delicious and added a bit of sweetness to the spice and fresh cilantro. I loved popping the crispy little rounds in my mouth to have them burst on my tongue with all the different flavours! If only we'd had more cash on us we would have tried another item, but we'll definitely be back.

The service was very solid. I'm pretty sure the owner served us, and he seemd genuinely excited for us to try his food. The ambiance was pretty standard for a low key restaurant that probably does a lot of takeout.

I was very impressed with the value overall; if only there were more places like this closer to home! I'd much rather go here and get tasty, fresh food, than pay a similar amount at one of the ubiquitous fast food joints, or boring sub shops around town.
