I was hungry one night after shopping so decided to check out the food court. There weren't a lot of choices, but the busiest vendor looked most promising. The Super 8 is fantastic! Ground beef, veggies layered on top of mexi-fries, plus drink is only around $6/7! The owner is super friendly too, chatting up a storm, a nice addition to the quietness of the Oakridge food court. I really liked their homemade salsa. Overall, not bad, but a reason to go back. =)
They have opened another location! Same owner at the helm - an endearing character that loves to talk and will sing as he assembles your order. While annoying to some, it's a throwback to when people who worked at joints like this cared and showed some enthusiasm - it's a refreshing sight.
The menu choices are typical, a somewhat non-discrete copy of a Taco Time. My gf orders the 7" combo and I go with the 3 for $5 taco special. You have your choice of toppings including yet again the odd shredded carrots or cucumber add ons. The seasoned beef is decent and not unlike the stuff you get out of an Old El Paso taco kit while the tater tots continue to be the crispy, greasy habit we remember. Prices are fantastic for what you get, and the value is through the roof compared to most other food court institutions.
Nothing special, but one of the few reasons to go to the mall.
I had heard about taco luis on another website and I decided to check it out. I tried it; it was good nothing out of the normal. I got the 3 tacos for 5.00. The staff is super friendly. The prices cannot be beat. Its great seeing it made right in front of you however I had higher hopes on the salsa and the gucamole. I only gave a 1 on the ambiance since it is in the mall.
