I have been here a couple times because of the close proximity to my home. The first time, there was two of us and we ordered 3 dishes and some hot and sour soup. The bill came to about $50 which I thought was a bit pricey for the food quality.
The second time I went by myself. I ordered the one person special that they advertise on all the tables which is $9.95 and includes one appetizer and two half sized dishes. Its a pretty decent deal but again, I am not a huge fan of the food. I find the sauced dishes really saucy and not very tasty. I do like the hot and sour soup, however.
The interior is kind of plain and nothing to write home about but it is clean. The service was very friendly both times. I might return if I am not feeling creative or don't want to go far for Chinese food.
Twice now Ive ordered delivery from Szechuan Chili and both times it showed up super fast(30 min) and everything was delicious! I always get Deluxe mixed vegetable crispy noodle Chow mein and most places its greasy but not here. I love it! The ginger beef rules and even the breaded lemon chicken isnt greasy considering its deep fried. This time i also got the BBQ pork & shrimp fried rice and it was also fresh tasting,not greasy and very very yummy!!! this is my new fave place for chinese food delivery!!
My brother recommended this restaurant, and he was right it was really good. I had the lunch special of a spring roll, chicken in black bean sauce and shredded chicken chow mein. Everything was prepared to perfection and tasted great!
The service was prompt and friendly, no need to wait either.
It was very neat and clean with a tasteful decor.
Two lunch specials and green tea was only $21.10 - good value because the portions were very generous.
I will definitely return when I'm in Vancouver.
I enjoy Szechuan Chinese food and have tried quite a few restaurants over the past few years, mostly for their lunch offerings. Some are good for a while and some I would consider adequate or mediocre at best. I was happy to try this restaurant after reading the favourable reviews on "Dinehere".
Plain and simple, the food served here was a cut above most others that I've tried in terms of freshness and preparation. I definitely will return, and if all of their food continues to meet this standard then this place has to come highly reccomended.
The portion sizes are not huge, but completely fine, the prices are low and the ambiance is everything that it can be, all things considered. Make no mistake, the place is a hole in the wall, but very clean and on the newer side, with decent parking, depending on when you arrive for lunch probably.
The food though truly is the bomb. It's just darn good, fresh tasty and more flavouful than lots of others!!
The Best thing about Szechuan Chili... I hadn't come here for almost a year, and, the food almost seems more awesome than I remember. The Ginger Beef here is easily one of the Best in town. All the food is really good actually, the Wonton doesn't have shrimp in it, but, it's Packed Full of meat. The Fried Rice(Szechaun and Pork&Shrimp) are really good. Owners are really great people, service is always good. The Best part is the Consistency of it all, food is always good! The Portions are pretty big, food is cheap really considering how much you get. Just wanna get this straight first off, I'm not one of those people who'll eat crappy food so long as there's lots of it. The Restaurant is nice inside, clean and well lit. The Washrooms are always clean and well kept too. Never had a Bad Experience here, and, can't imagine that I ever would. It's a bit out of the way for me, but, methinks I'm going to be back there soon!
On a friend's recommendation I dropped by for lunch and had one of the best dai ching chicken dishes ever. It was a large portion, perfectly seasoned, that came with a choice of soup and tea, rice and a palate cleansing salad. The cost was $6.95. Stupid cheap.
Service was attentive, decor pleasant. A teffific deal for lunch.
I noted their dinner menu was extensive and their prices reasonable.
Certainly I will return.
The search for good take-out is finally over! Fresh, delicious, imaginative food; fast delivery; polite and anxious-to-please staff; and reasonable prices are an unbeatable combination. Please patronize this terrific new place so it will stick around!
I use to eat here every Saturday for lunch. My work has moved me to Richmond so now I only get to go as a treat. My favorite dish is the spicy tofu with minced meat on rice...weird name but defiantly the best. I am conflicted sending a review because I dont want to wait for a table but I have to spread the good word.
Take out for dinner is also great. The spicy deep fried tofu is addictive.

I finally joined Dine Here cause I use it all the time and wanted to give my favorite lunch place a review!
I was here last year, around April or May I think. I was craving some chinese food, and my friends and I drove by this place.
Inside could definitely have been cleaner, but the food was cheap so I couldn't complain.
The server was very straight forward. Not very pleasant, just brought us some tea and water.
The food came out very quickly and the portions were a good size. But the taste! UGH! Seriously, everything tasted like soap. It was like they didn't rinse off the pots and pans before cooking our food. I absolutely LOVE chinese food, and I actually couldn't even finish a plate of this.
Won't be back.
Wow, just browsing through the site I found the restaurant. I never even thought about submitting a review for this place eventhough I've been going to it for years.
The food is great, pricing is great, service is great too!
My favorite dish is the Dai Ching Chicken, followed by the Minced Meat with Tofu on rice. I have a couple of friends that are beef lovers and they rave about the Ginger Beef.
If you're in the area for lunch you should definitely pay this place a visit; trust me you will love it!
