After reading the previous comment, we decided to give this place a try.
We ordered some salmon and tuna Sashimi plates, and some Sushi rolls.
One Sashimi plate costs around $7.99 and it comes with 8 thickly sliced Sashimi, which I don't complain.
However, all the Sashimi smelled like some deep fried food.
Most of their Sushi rolls we ordered smelled like deep-frying oil as well.
May be they were placed right next to the deep fryer?
Fish seem fresh enough, but deep fried scented Sashimi are not my type.
Visited this small sushi joint just before going to a game at Swangard. At first, the restaurant didn't seem like it was very different than the many sushi places in East Vancouver, but it was clean, new, and very hospitable.
The waitress is very kind, pleasant, and helpful. She brought us tea right away and the menu had all the usual choices at most places. While there were not many special rolls, it was very reasonable since the ones that were offered were made very well. California, BC, unagi, dynamite rolls are very typical, but very well made and extremely well priced. All ingredients were fresh, the rice was well vinegared, and the wasabi was even made at the time of serving, a very rare occurance in other sushi joints.
Not really a place for the ambience because it is small, but it has charm. This is a very good place for a quick meal, over a lunch hour or for a take out order (and again, very efficient with the preparation), and also for a casual dinner. Very much recommended.
