My only dislike for coming here is trying to narrow down my choices. Located inside Granville Island's marketplace there's always a temptation to buy something when you smell the lingering perfume of baked goods.
I've purchased a gamut of items here from the individually portioned cakes (cheesecakes, tarts, profiteroles, tiramisu, biscotti, pies, breads, cookies) to whole portions for parties or to indulge with friends. I easily spend $30+ here even with restraint. Quality is excellent and the prices are fairly reasonable as well.
There's always a lineup wrapping around the corner so I'm usually antsy in hoping someone ahead of me doesn't clear out a tray of goods. The brightly lit marketplace and display cases work in unison making their creations look divine.
The employees there are friendly and keep their calm well with the sometimes snooty customer. Since they're so busy it's hard to get their attention for more than a minute.
Even though I wished there were more places like this I am glad there are so few around, which makes this place all the more special.
Come often.
