Our family went to this restaurant prior to going to Theatre Under the Stars. We had a patio table on a lovely summer eve, and the service and food together made this a nice evening. We ordered popcorn shrimp appetizer, burgers, fish and chips, seafood soup and Cobb salad. The portions and food were good and what we expected. Beer on tap was a nice complement and the desserts, although looked pre-fab, were a nice finish.
I was blown away by the amazing and beautiful setting of this restaurant. The outdoor patio is huge and gives you an awesome view of the surrounding Stanley Park grounds.
I ordered the fish and chips which exceeded my expectations. They were flavourful and crispy and just what I wanted.
The service was amazing, especially the bar staff who were efficient and very friendly. My order was taken promptly and my food arrived within 20 minutes.
I would strongly recommend this restaurant to other park visitors and tourists who want a relaxing and yummy lunch.
Me and my Husband dined for the second time at this restaurant, hoping that it would turn out better then the first time we dined here. WE WERE WRONG! It seemed to be worse than the first time.
It took almost 20 minutes before we had our order taken, However, our drinks arrived quickly after that and were tasty.
The FOOD on the otherhand wasn't. I had the fish & Chips. Where to begin with that dish. The fish was cold as well as the fries. it didn't taste FRESH, which it states on the menu. PLUS, it costed me almost 20 bucks for the plate of cold fish. My husband had a burger and couldn't even eat half of it!!! He said it tasted like cardboard with tons of fillers! When we brought our dissatisfaction of the meal to our server, She told us that this is what they serve and don't BOTHER HER with problems! I asked to speak to the manager but noone came so we left. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to ANYONE. Being in the park, The ambiance is nice and the drinks are decent...BUT EAT before coming here!
