Pretty Average

This place doesn't have any personality. The room feels sad and lonely, it has an ok view of the water front...good for a summer sunset, but that's about it.
Service is as poor as any other pub. Food, pretty average, nothing special.
This place thnks its as good as say, milestones, yet faulters to even equal a dive bar.
There doesn't seem to be any effort from staff, or managers, to do anything. They are just hanging out, and it feels like I'm imposing on them ordering anything. Spent a few nights hanging out and watching the game, but think I'll find somewhere else.
There are a lot better places to hang out and drink than here.

Took my boyfriend down to SOHO for his birthday and was treated like gold, great place to watch the canucks with friends, best prices for Beer especially, and food, fun staff, awesome management that let you have a good time, and a fabulous view especially from 4pm on as the sun sets right on the water in front of the restaurant... Definitely will go back again.. thanks guys... my boyfriend really appreciated your hospitality.. cheers!

Great neighborhood joint

The West End really lacks a place to kick back and have a cheap beer, but this takes up a bit of the slack. Big red banquet seating envelops your group of 4 to 6, and TVs overhead break whatever awkward silences there may be.

The appetizers are tasty and are portioned quite large, and the pub fare is just above standard. A little bland tho.

Bad Food at Soho

My friends and I tried the Soho for lunch today. The view was nice so we thought the food might be ok too. We were wrong.
It took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. I ordered the salmon burger which the menu described as "grilled salmon". When it arrived it was a processed salmon patty, exactly what I didn't want. I tried to eat it but it was bland. I told the waitress of this problem and she said I could order something else instead so I ordered the California burger. The burger patty and bacon were both burned, the patty was black and had the consistency of charcoal. I've never sent back two dishes but I couldn't eat it. I asked the waitress to take it away.
The service here is decent because the waitress was polite and friendly, she took both meals off my tab and covered the cost of one of two of my beer.
I won't be coming back to the Soho and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good burger.

My boyfriend and I just moved here from a city of amazing pubs and I have to say this one is at the top of out list! The staff were relaxed and friendly. The food (although it did take awhile) was devine for pub fare. The prices were great. Though I will say stick to there tap beer and wine list because mixed drinks were a little pricy. If you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere with great food and drinks try the Soho!
