Enjoyed a wonderful dinner- was apprehensive after reading the one review- however drove by and decided to stop and dine.. Beautiful relaxing setting with quiet music. The waiter was excellent and extremely helpful with selection off the menu. The butternut squash soup was delicious and piping hot. Really enjoyed the beef tenderloin appetizer and the house salad. It was such a treat to end with a very tasty cup of coffee- freshly brewed and of good quality..I plan to return again soon along with several friends..

Tried Satima with a group of friends on a Saturday night. I know there is construction all along Broadway in this area but somehow I don't think that this is the reason this place was empty on what should be the busiest night for any restaurant.

Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with this place, but there isn't anything to write home about either. Which becomes a problem because with the price you pay, you do tend to leave feeling a little "underwhelmed."

The chicken nuggets were good as an appetizer and for the entree the Misoyaki Black Cod was quite delicious...even though the accompanying vegetables reminded me of table scraps being reserved. I tried the butternut squash soup and found it to be quite tasty. It had good flavour and body but could have been a bit more warm when served.

The service was pretty good. But then again, we would have been pretty upset if it wasn't seeing as we were the only table for the night. The ambience was not too bad. They had nice settings furniture. We even got little gifts at the end of the night. The only error I saw from the service was that one of our party had his steak brought out about 10 minutes before anyone else was served any other entrees. So he just sat there until the rest of our entrees arrived...a bit weird to say the least.

If you are inclined to try this place, definitely order the set menus. Then at least you will get your money's worth...somewhat.

Located in the young, professional, and chic area of Broadway and Macdonald, this new restaurant caught my attention from its colourful and attractive menu. I wasn't even aware that it was an asian fusion restaurant, except that the Asian decor confused me very much. I attributed it to the establishment, which was Chinese.

I am sorry to say that 110$ later (between two), that I felt like I had just visited a sub-par chain like Earl's. The butternut squash soup had no depth. I am a big connoisseur in squash soup and I've had everywhere from home made to high end restaurants in Chicago bring me their finest. So I was very disappointed to be presented with such an amateur version. It was salty, flat, and had no body. The housewine (Argentinian, a Chardonnay?) was clean but a bit too sweet for my taste and the undertaste of pear making an unwelcomed crescendo as the bottom of the glass was reached. The bread with its herbs was baked fresh and served with mustard-seed butter, but it would have been better with simple oil and balsamic vinegar in my opinion. We then went onto the entree, and I chose lamb with risotto and vegetables. I found the steamed broccoli, asparagus and carrot tips slightly overcooked (they gave away like butter to the bite), and the asparagus certainly would have been better tossed in olive oil and coarse salt. The lamb, done medium rare, was tender and tasteful, but I've had much better. The risotto was very disappointing - I was unable to tell what kind of stock it had been simmering in! What a shame. The garlic mash bed, however, I highly approved of. My dessert was a fun mix of Taiwanese chocolate cake and sorbet. I swear the cake came out of a box, though. Overall, the food was not worth the price they donned.

The service was fast because there was little business tonight, but what restaurant gives you the bill as soon as the dessert has been polished?????? Ugh.
