The Salt Spring Coffee Company serves fair trade and organic coffee on Main Street just south of King Edward. They also offer a limited selection of bakery items, sandwiches, soups and other drinks with an emphasis on healthy and organic choices.
Salt Spring Coffee makes a great expresso coffee, my favourite in Vancouver. I usually get the 12 ounce Canadiano. They don't do singles which makes their smaller sized coffees a pretty good deal. I don't generally eat the food there but I did have a panini sandwich a couple years ago and recall it being good. They have a small patio which gets good sun as it is south facing. Its not the greatest people watching spot as its usually just mom's with strollers and Main street hipster types, but its still a great place to sit and enjoy a great coffee.
