Came here for afternoon tea with high hopes; judging by their site they specialize in fantastic blends. The decor is definitely not the typical girly style, it's very funky and modern. The tiered dainty plates were served promptly and the food was surprisingly good. However, I just couldn't get past the fact that their tea came prepackaged in tea bags. No proper tea house worth its salt EVER serves tea bagged. I know it sounds nitpickety but it's true: the best teas are brewed loose leaf. That being said, the tea sandwiches and dainties were good, albeit not exactly fresh. They felt like they'd been in the fridge too long. The macarons were outstanding but they were supplied and not made onsite. On the whole, I would not return to Salon Tea.
