Second floor sushi restaurant on busy Denman Strret open for luch and dinner
What a shame that Black Tuna closed.....this new sushi restaurant has now been open a few months, not as innovative as Black Tuna but there's a nice view all the same. Not sure what they need to fill the place, the food was passable, the service acceptable but with another 5 sushi restaurants on this street they will struggle to survive.
Had dinner here last night on the patio overlooking English Bay. The food ( a good selection of the basics) was well prepared and served by a pleasant younger woman. The prices were quite reasonable(salmon and tuna sushi @ $1.30 ea.
and large sake at $7.95 They were not very busy and may not make a go of it if
the client base does not expand. I'm hoping they make it because I of the value they offer
