I have dreams where I crave the sushi here.

Ro is hands down my favourite sushi place. When I lived in the area we ate in or took out every week or two. All of our friends also love the sushi here. Now that we live further away we are here less often but as often as we can find a reason to be in the area.
Our favourite rolls over the year and today (hoping for sushi tonight)
- Papaya tuna- the papaya balances of the tuna nicely and melts in your mouth
-Salmon mango- simple and fresh combo of fruit and fish
- Saskatchewan- incredible veggi roll topped with thinly sliced 'hay' potatoes, so so good
- Popeye- gomae roll with avocado
- Amber- mango, tuna, salmon with spicy temp bit. Really tasty.
- Green hornet- my husband's favourite like a dynamite roll with avacado and sauce
- Alberta- beef and asparagus with avocado very addicting

So good here. I can't wait to eat some soon.

Worth a second visit (at dinner)

Another sushi parlour on Broadway close to Cambie. Run of the mill sushi but they do have a "Funky Creations" list for dinner only with items such as Erotica Roll (tuna, salmon, avocado over crab, cucumber) at $6.50 and Drunken Monkey (eel, crab, asparagus, smoked salmon, tobiko) at $6.95 that sound enticing. Our boring lunch was OK and edible and the service was pleasant. Not sure why they need a flat screen TV on all the time, kind of ruined the lunch but did keep our 2 year old fascinated. Lets home they turn it off at night when they serve up these special funky creations.

Good choice for food

Overall, the food was solid and good choice. The only complaint I have was when we asked for ice water/cold water. The water had this awful chlorine taste to it which makes sense if the water is unfiltered. The service was pretty bad considering that it is a very small place and our waitress who doubled as a cashier didn't really tend to us at all. She did check up on us but after that, she seemed to disappear in the back for the rest of our stay there.

good for a cheap inexpensive daily lunch

The lunch boxes are standard typical bento box fair. Good value. They used to have an unadvertized dashi tofu box, which was a vegetarian bento box for 4.95, but they don't offer that anymore, only the Large dashi box, which is still a good value, but a bit more and includes the chicken teriyaki.

It used to be called Mo Mo Ta Ro long time ago, now it's just Ro.
