Red Tuna offers a menu of sushi, noodles and a variety of Japanese cuisine.
After church service on Sundays, we usually go to various places around the hood for lunch, Red Tuna being one of them.
Its is a small cozy Japanese sushi and noodle house. Though the restaurant is small, nonetheless it is very clean, tidy and cozy.
Their sushi is fresh, well made and of reasonable size. I highly recommend their cali/spicy tuna combo with miso soup for people who loves sushi only. Their cooked food is just as good, with fresh ingredients, and authentic taste. Just a tip, for anyone who can't figured what to order, their bento box is a good way to start. It has a variety of items both sushi and cooked and the portion is generous.
Best is the service, the server lady is very attentive and friendly. Even though at times she was busy with accomodating both eat in and take out customers, she always get us what we need with a smile.
Our church crew become their regulars and from time to time they even give treat on the house.
Of the dinning choice around the South Grandville area, Red Tuna is one of, if not the best choice out there
This is a small decent place to have japanese food such as sushi and ramen.
The quality of food is good. I had a shio ramen and a california roll. Both were above average while some other sushi places made really bad quality sushi.
The overall ambiance is clean and tidy, but just a small place.
Perhaps because of a small place (with a cheaper rent), the food are not overpriced. $6.5 a bowl of shio ramen is really a decent price.
Overall, you get what you paid for. I would recommend my friends to go this place.
I Love this little japanese restaurant! Great sushi rolls with a slight korean touch to it's Japanese sushis! Very creative~! I really recommend the chopped scallop roll...it is amazing.
The service is incredible as well. A very nice family run little place.
Ambience is not great, but the food will make up for it :)
the service was great, the food was good, and we got a complimentary order of black rice california roll and an extra piece of sashimi on the house. i appreciate friendly service as much as delicious food, so i'd definitely recommend this place.
nothing was incredibly outstanding, but it has potential as a go-to sushi place.
I've been here a few times and each time I've been very happy with the freshness of the food and the presentation. I'm also always very impressed with the speed, efficiency and cheerfulness of the service. It is a small place, and doesn't have a huge menu, but there is a wide variety of sushi and the gyoza are really good. I can't really comment on the noodles - 8 or so types of ramen - but they always look good. I keep going back here as I feel it is really good value ($20-$25 for 2) and they are so friendly!
