A restaurant serving Sushi, Pho, and Bubble Tea
Mrs. C and I were in East Van when we spotted this place. I was amazed to find they had sushi AND pho AND bubble tea. “Woo-hoo!” I cried. Since I wanted sushi and Mrs. C craved pho we could both have what we wanted.
We ordered a beef pho, spring rolls, a nigiri sushi combo, and a strawberry bubble tea. The pho was middle of the road, as were the spring rolls. Not spectacular, but good enough for the money. Same for the sushi. It too was well-prepared, but nothing to write home about. The bubble tea was disappointing, and obviously from a mix.
The service was good, and the ambience was tidy if a little bit on the crappy side. The w/c could also use some attention. The best part of the meal was that we both stuffed ourselves for 20 bucks. That should count for something.
Try it if you want a ‘cross-over’ meal :)
I went into this place looking for a quick lunch. I am usually suspicious of these crossover-type places, but decided to give it a go.
After discovering the owners were Vietnamese, I decided to go with the pho, chicken sub, and salad rolls. I was very pleased. The pho was good. The sandwich was solid. The salad roll - incredible. When I was done (with plenty to take home), they proudly showed me how they made them - freshly cooked rice noodles, fresh prawns steamed just before they were rolled, and fresh green lettuce. I will go back, if only for another salad roll.
I really do LOVE this place.
The people working there are very nice to me and my family because we are regulars there. They're nice to everyone infact. They always give us extra sushi with no charge. The bubbletea is great too. Sure there are better bubbletea places, but this is quite good too.
I really recommend coming here.
I LOVE this restaurant!
But to me, it's only for Vietnamese food. The sushi and sashimi is nothing special and there are far better places in the neighbourhood for sushi. But their Pho is very good, and their lemon grass chicken and the pork with noodles are also delicious!
The most important part about going to this restaurant for me is the service. The couple who own the place a so cute and they love their regulars. Their kids eat in the restaurant and it's just all so cute and charming, even if it's not very fancy.
And it's so cheap - such a good deal.
