The porchetta is the star here and it is done well. The last time I had porchetta this good was at Fabrizio's delicatessen in Assisi. I've tried it in a sandwich and as the plate dinner. Was thrilled both times. My husband tried the gnocchi with porcetta and porcini in tomato sauce. Lovely - that's all that needs to be said. The food is well seasoned, but with a lovingly restrained hand so that all the flavours shine. The ingredients are elegant in their simplicity. Also, I had one of the best cappucino I've had in a long time.
The portions are "normal" size and are affordably priced. Both occasions that I've eaten here, I left feeling fully satisfied and glowing with a reminder of how lovely Italian food can be when done right. THANK YOU!
Been twice this week for a porchetta sandwich. Lots of flavour, large portion and excellent quality. Young friendly servers, lack a little finesse but make up for it with big smiles. The bread was better the second visit, crustier and tasted fresher. Nice room very cosy. Family run which is nice. Great value, lots of roast pork in the sandwich. Consistency needs a little work, first visit sage overpowered the pork but today's sandwich was outstanding. Small but interesting menu with a couple of specials. Nice addition to the neighbourhood. Saves me a trip downtown. Will definitely be back and highly recommend for a quick bite.
