Pita Pit offers healthy, fresh, good for you fillings that are never deep fried, battered or grilled in fat.
I notice the last review here is almost two years old, so perhaps a little update is in order. I was here just a few days ago to order take-out. The food was very fresh and the portion size very good for the price. There was no line up when I was there, so service was fast. The only thing, though, was that the young woman behind the counter looked like she didn't want to be there at all. A little friendliness would have made this a much more pleasant experience.
I totally agree with the review that Epic said below, that service was slow and distracting. I found the server wanted to talk to everyone, as he made the meals and what should have been in & out, took over 25 minutes. I ordered the chicken souvlaki without tomatoes and guess what he put in it. When my meal was made, it was tasty, but found the overall experience was too slow. Unless the service improves and they hire more people to work the counter at lunch time, I don't think I will return.
Food was good, I just wish service was better.
I went this Pita Pit location before a movie last week. Unlike the Burnaby location, service was slow. There was only one person working at this location on busy Granville. He was friendly, maybe too friendly. He spent a lot of time socializing with everyone instead of concentrating on getting food out fast. The reason I go to these joints is to get a good, quick meal. He spent a lot of time just chatting with people. I waited about 15-20 for my pita when just 2 other pitas before mine were to be made. Afterwards, he started making one for himself. Meanwhile, a girl walked in and waited quite some time before he even acknowledged her. When his own pita was finally done and he noticed she was waiting for him, he casually walked by her taking a bite and slowly walked back to the counter. She looked like she was in a tiny bit of a hurry, but instead of quickly whipping up her order, he started ringing up other people in line behind her and continuing to socialize.
I find service here is very slow and care and attention going into the food isn't as good as Burnaby location.
I've been to this location several times, and I've never had a bad experience.
The food is delicious and the meats are of good quality. I particularly like the chicken crave and club pitas. They have lots of options for vegetarians as well.
The restaurant is usually clean, but there are only a couple of tables that are rarely wiped. The only thing I don't like about the place is that they frequently play very loud music, which forces me to take the food to go.
