A Chinese bakery chain with locations around Vancouver.
I like the Pine House for several reasons:
-Lots of locations;
-Good selection of cakes and buns;
-Cake slices cost a buck.
I usually get Black Forest cake since it is the best in town. I also like many of the other items they sell including the curry beef puffs, tasty egg tarts, and their big selection of other buns and cakes. This location has friendly staff, and it is always very clean. I eat a lot of Chinese bakery (maybe too much) and these folks do it right.

A very traditional Chinese bakery that carries a variety of buns, pastries, and seasonal items. There are a lot of choices and most of them look very appetizing. Some of my favorites are their cocktail buns, pineapple buns, and blackforest cakes. Their seasonal items are also very good and very traditional. Their prices are better than many other Chinese bakeries with comparable quality.
