In a word - yuck.
The service is only okay - adequate only - no smiles or friendliness.
The perogies are a soggy, tasteless mess. I have some German/Polish heritage and my spouse is part Ukraine - we know what perogies are SUPPOSE to taste like. These are just a mess - get some perogies from Superstore, cook 'em yourself per package instructions - they will be better than these.
The value is poor because the product is substandard.
The ambiance is crowded Granville Island Public Market with no seating - hence I rated this "poor" as well.
I happened to be in the Granville Island food court yesterday and for whatever reason, I was craving perogies. I decided to order combo number 5 which is perogies and a salad. I got a side of sauerkraut to go with it.
The perogies came in a couple varieties including potato & cheese and another somewhat unidentifiable flavour. All the perogies were overly starchy and seemed overcooked. The salad was a cooked cabbage salad and was not very good. Overall, I was less than impressed with the food and could not finish it. The total was about 10 bucks including the side of sauerkraut so needless to say, the value was not that great.
I won't be back and will stick to my other regular spots in Granville Island food court the next time I eat there.
