Peaceful Restaurant serves Mandarin cuisine, handmade noodle dishes and regional cuisine from Northern China.
There are a few Peaceful restaurant locations in Vancouver. I tried the West Broadway location after they got "famous" on DDD but found it was just a factory pumping out food to the masses.
Thinking it would be a different experience, we went to the W4th location. Sadly their staple dishes like beef roll, beef noodles are just average now. Beef noodles were overcooked, just a mushy mess. Gyozas were underwhelming.
I don't know what it is, perhaps they think they are famous and now they can serve mediocre food because they will have customers no matter what.
Ordered chicken with noodles and seasonal vegetables to go on a recent evening. The order was prepared quickly and the staff was friendly so I can say that the service was solid. Not much chicken and it was undercooked and had pieces of cartilage. The noodles were OK and there was a reasonable amount of bakchoy. However, there was too much oil and it tasted off. I didn't get sick but was grateful to have Tums on hand. There are many better Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. Will not go back and don't recommend.
