Will Never Eat Here Again

We've been to Patrons a few times now.. each time we've gone the service hasn't been great, (not super friendly nor speedy) but the food is not bad and the pricing is reasonable... so we've been a few times... HOWEVER I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN. Upon our last visit to Patrons we called ahead to see if they would be playing Canelo/Trout boxing fight. They said they would however they weren't going to show it live, it would be played at 10pm. We agreed that was acceptable and showed up early to have dinner/drinks. We got there around 7:30 so we spent 2.5 hours spending money in their restaurant with the expectation of seeing the fight at 10 oclock. When 10 rolled around and still no fight we immediately asked what was going on. The server replied, "oh... well, the fight is at 11:30 and we close in an hour."

We were FURIOUS. We asked to see the manager and he offered nothing but a weak insincere apology. We spent time and money for the purpose of watching the fight. Had we known they were not going to play it we would have rather been at home so at least we would have been able to watch it there. The manager offered us nothing, he didn't care that we missed our fight, only that we spent money at his restaurant.

As I've said the service has never been great, but this was way past unacceptable. I have no desire to ever spend money here again.

Great Mexican Place

The food here is wonderful and authentic, with dinner plates starting around $9! Chips and wonderful homemade salsa come with your order, and the drinks are good too. There is one crazy drink there that comes with a Coronita as a GARNISH! The slushy drinks are not good (all artificial instead of real fruit), but that is my only complaint! The decorative details are truly authentic, and the owner Antonio is so friendly and attentive. Great new spot!
