On a particularly dreary night we were warmly greeted at The Parker. The sparkling sake was an interesting and delicious choice from the bar to accompany our chickpea fries. Next, roasted sunchokes and brussel sprouts topped with apples, walnuts and a tasty sauce. I savoured perfectly poached quail eggs on a bed of creamed chanterelle mushrooms and then shared a generous serving of stonefruit pie to round out a delicious meal. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great background music, and a good selection on the menu and on the bar list helped to create a lovely evening after all. I don't recall the name of the crisp white wine recommended by the bartender but will be there again soon - with or without the rain. Great value and exquisite food.
