I have ordered pizza here a few times.
The service is only okay. I only had a real problem once, when I attempted to pay with AMEX (which their flyer states that they accept). The person working that day did not have a good grasp of the English language and stated, "yes" when I tried to confirm that they took AMEX. The delivery driver was taken aback when I handed him my AMEX, stating that they do NOT take it and his machine is not even set up to take it.
Other than this one incident - there have been no problems.
The pizza is good. Lots of toppings and good flavour. It is either regular or thin crust - either way, the toppings are well distributed and go all the way to the edge. I especially like that they finely dice their green peppers - making it easier for the kids to eat.
The pizza is tasty and not particularly greasy. The value is good with mid week specials and two for one pricing.
I ordered again just yesterday. I checked the flyer - they still indicate that they take AMEX, but I know now that this is not the case and now the rest of you know too ;)
We've ordered pizza from this particular Round Table ( and other locations around the Lower Mainland ) and always been very satisfied by the taste and price charged for pies, $25 for two large pizzas and other similar great deals.
Having said that when you actually see where and how your pizza was made it makes you lose a lot of your appetite for Round Table pizzas. The girl who took our order uttered only minimal words, no smile nor emotion emitted, took our payment and went about making the pizzas. Wow, I guess washing hands after touching money or before preparing food isn't practiced nor preached during training.
It's also a good idea not to look around at the surroundings when you're waiting for your food to be ready either. The window counter had trash on it as well as the floor beneath, the counter itself looked really sticky and greasy. Paint peeling off the walls, dirty windows, everything in this place looked old, dirty, chipped and haggard.
The delivery guy came in and he was uttering the weirdest come-on to the girl who worked in the store. What a slimy grease-ball, not someone who you'd ever want touching your food. Weirdo.
So I'm kind of in a conundrum: I like the pizza but I can't do take out or eat-in without seeing the scummy restaurant and dirty cooking practices, I could have it delivered but I'd have to deal slimy-greasy-weirdo-guy.
Will I ever get a pizza from here again, or better yet should I ever order from here after what I've said above?
I decided to order the "Everything" pizza, a medium one (it cost $13.95 at the time, including tax... there is a discount if you order two). It took them only 15 minutes to prepare my order and by the time I arrived, it was all ready to pick up. The pizza was pretty delicious and loaded with toppings, especially the "Everything" pizza! They are very efficient and reliable. Excellent pizza joint! There is also a Round Table Pizza in Richmond. Both are just as delicious, although I might give the slightest edge to the Richmond one...
Next time I am going to go for the Hawaiian pizza. Definitely will be back upon my next pizza craving!
