Notturno, an Italian word meaning "the art or musical composition inspired by the night", nestled in Vancouver’s historic Gastown neighbourhood, Notturno Paninoteca aims as much for pleasure and warmth as we do for speed and convenience. From the long, glossy, black bar to the champaign accents and iron chandelier, Vancouver’s true Paninoteca matches high style with casual comfort.
Notturno’s devotion to the art of Panini making comes through with our use of fine meats and cheeses paired with creative condiments pressed between authentic rustic Italian baquette. Our collection of Tapas deliver huge flavour as well. Salumi Plates, house stuffed Olives, fresh Salads and a delicious list of Bruschette pair well with our Italian Wine list, collection of Euro Beers, and imported Italian sodas. Whether you're dining in or taking a delicious Panino to-go, Notturno provides an affordable taste of Italy each and every time.
i tried Notturno Paninoteca for the first time today. a takeout sandwich lunch. the 'Tarfuto' was a delightful sandwich. nice pressed chewy and crunchy bread with proscuitto, black truffle aioli, and pecorino cheese. i was very happy that the truffle did not overwhelm the other flavours. each ingredient was of good quality.
the location is hard to find (small signage) and is very small (4 tables).
great for lunch takeout.
