Tried the spicy peanut noodles and teriyaki udon noodles. The spicy peanut was really bland, and worth probably half the price I paid. When I ordered it with tofu, they explained that there was a shrimp paste in the sauce that they "can't remove". Obviously, they must use some kind of pre-made sauce. The teriyaki noodles were a little better, but they gave us a small proportion. No way I'm returning here any time soon!

I have been a noodle box fan for a very long time now. I moved from Victoria to Vancouver very recently and was delighted to hear about a NB location in Kits! I went to NB within the first week of moving in to my new apartment. LOVED IT. Much roomier than the first location in Victoria. I understand that there is no table service so this came as no surprise to me. That doesn't bother me one bit. Yeah you might have to wait a few minutes to get a table..and it might be dirty, but when the servers to get a minute to clear your table you always get a "sorry for the mess" and a quick pleasant "how's your day going?" The staff are all smiles, at least 99% of the time but hey...not every customer that walks into that restaurant is all smiles either. The orders are called out on the side of the register and people take their food as it comes. Sometimes they even bring it right to you! The food takes a bit sometimes but never more than fifteen to twenty minutes even on a friday night. Sure the line is sometimes out the door. But it you have any patience at all, you'll notice that it does move fast! Another point. NB is NOT a fast food joint. (I have asked the staff about the concept) It is a fast paced restaurant and if you want your food in 2 minutes...go to a burger joint. Dishes are always fresh to order...another plus..but spiciness sometimes varies. Music is fairly loud but nothing I can't talk to my friends over. Always a beer special which I like, and how cute are those boxes..I HIGHLY suggest visiting the Noodle Box!

Spicy and Nicey

Heh, I love the noods box. I live in coquitlam and have made several trips down to kits over the last few months to hit up "the box"

I get spicy peanut every time, I'm now on extra hot and looking to move up one more level next visit.

It is great, so many places "claim" to have spice and many people "claim" to like spicy things, but a Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich does not make you a spice lover.

I would love to find a place that makes a spicy peanut as good as noodle box closer to me because I only get my noodle box fix every couple month when we go over to victoria or when we are near the downtown and go out of the way.

Never had the sit down service, you don't eat that kind of spicy treat in public lol.

...you never know what you're going to get! Sometimes the person on cash seems happy to see you, sometimes not. Sometimes you have to clear your own table before sitting, sometimes not. Sometimes it seems like good quality, you guessed it... sometimes not. We did discover that if you order your food to stay, you get a lot more, and then you can pack it up to go yourself... then again, there is never very much veg, sometimes a fair amount of meat.... and ALWAYS a lot of noodles (go figure eh!)

I have no idea how anyone can go to the Noodle Box without loving it. Sure there is no table service, but isn't Vancouver supposed to be "hip"? The food is hot, fast and fantastic, what more are we looking for? If you walk in and stay, then you get more then you expect....food is fantastic, and the prices are right in line.
